Back in 2007, our founder Dave had just finished working for a series of large firms and moved into a freelancing role whilst travelling overseas. He was working with many small businesses, building websites for them. During this time he realised there wasn't a good off-the-shelf solution which allowed you to create a website, send email newsletters and sell online. Airsquare was born!
Over the next few years Dave spent time building a platform which solved this problem for his clients. In 2011, whilst walking the length of New Zealand, he and Clare saw a gap in the market to make Airsquare available to anyone, by allowing them to sign up themselves. Over the next year, Airsquare became part of the 'cloud'.
We're now focused on making Airsquare even more awesome, aiming to provide an all-in-one solution for small businesses to build websites, sell online and keep in touch with their customers.

Meet the team
Dave Quested, Product Development
Dave founded Airsquare and looks after the technical side of Airsquare. Dave's been working in the web industry since 1999, after completing a degree in Computer Science. He's worked on large-scale projects in the UK, Australia and New Zealand - most notably Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Queensland and Bookabach.
When he’s not typing code, Dave can be found in the hills or by the sea, enjoying the chilled-out Nelson lifestyle.
Clare Wade, Business Development
Clare enjoyed a career in healthcare for eight years, before joining Airsquare in 2011. She is enjoying the dynamic, ever-changing world of the web and loves meeting other small business owners and helping them create an awesome website.
Clare also enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, off the beaten track, admiring the amazing New Zealand scenery. She's also a bit of a crafter and likes to have a creative project on the go.
